Default Sunday Salutations...

Good morning one and all.

A nice quiet day here - wet outside, staying in and doing nothing today.

Has anyone heard from Happy Hour? I am getting worried now - I sent her a message and have heard nothing back, my Skype doesn't work, but if someone here has a working Skype could you try and contact her? Last time I checked, she had not been on her own forum (Gente di Mare) recently either - though I need to visit there again.

I went to register with my local GP on Friday - my bp then was 161/103. I still however cannot get an appointment with a GP (this is really starting to piss me off now). I have to go back next Friday and the following week again for more BP readings after which they will decide if they dare bother the GP with my little problem...Even when I insisted on an appointment I was told the earliest I could be seen was over a week away. I am beginning to understand why people hate the NHS so much.

So I have decided to just carry on as I had originally planned to in January - I am in the gym from Monday, I am eating as healthy and heart healthy as I can figure out how to (thank you British Heart Foundation) and if I drop dead of a heart attack, my family knows exactly who to name and shame in the papers...

That aside, life is good - looks now like I might be changing jobs in about two weeks time. Can't wait.

How are you all - what are you all up to this fine day?

Good luck with your job change, Nero! Sure all will be going very well.

The GP delay is pathetic. Never heard of that anywhere I've been registered. 'Normal' appointments can take a week but high blood pressure surely means an earlier appt? Is that the only surgery you can sign up to in your area? Could you not stay with the one you were at, even if that means traipsing across London? Might be worth it if they were good.

Have no other contact with HH but really hope she's ok.

Horrible day here, all weekend's been foggy and drizzly. Want the snow back with the cold, crisp days. Hate this muddy, damp weather.

Got a bit too drunk yesterday during the rugby. We were in a pub and I tried a selection of ales. Oh oh! Was in bed by 10pm but strangely enough not hungover this morning. That's good because I want to finish editing my completed ms so it's ready to send out should any publisher want it. Fingers & toes x'd!

Have a luvvly Sunday, folks!

Hi Sancerre,

This surgery was the best of the three in my area - both in terms of being able to register me and the relative speed they were able to offer me an appointment. I live in immigrantsville here so I guess the surgeries are busier than normal. I am tempted to head out to Ealing but I know what their reaction is likely to be - a nice ambulance ride to A&E and nothing constructive after that (after all, that is what happened last time).

Good luck with the MS today.

Good Sunday Morning. Just woke up it's 6:15 a.m. Mr. Fritini wants to go to church, I on the hand would like to jump back in bed and sleep for a few more hours, since I don't sleep during the night.

I have a working skype Nero, p.m. me and give her skype name again. I had it but didn't save in my contacts. I'll try when I get home a little later today. Hope she is okay

Nothing much planned for me, but it is the Super Bowl tonight starting at 5:00 so Mr. Fritini will be watching. We were going to have the kids over but all of us decided we didn't really want to have a loud gathering tonight before a work day. I do love the commercials and half-time entertainment. I'm not sure though who half time entertainment is this Super-bowl.

Nero, just start out real slow at the gym tomorrow. A nice walk on the treadmill should be good for starting out.

Everyone have a good Sunday. I'll check back here for HH's skype contact.

Hugs, Fritini
